Who is responsible

T.R. Kessling is a pen name. The data controller for this website and the Rennick File newsletter is [LEGAL NAME OF THE CONTROLLER], [ADDRESS OR CONTACT ADDRESS], Belgium. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect and why

• Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send you the free novella and the Rennick File newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Email statistics: whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, so we can keep the list healthy and remove inactive addresses.
• Website visits: our host keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website (article 6(1)(f)).

This site uses no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted on this site, not loaded from Google. [If you add Cloudflare Web Analytics: "We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites."]

Who processes your data for us

• Kit (email newsletter), United States. [Confirm Kit's transfer safeguard, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.]
• BookFunnel (delivers the novella download), United States. [Confirm safeguard.]
• Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding). [Confirm safeguard.]

We never sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. We also remove addresses that have not opened an email in [12] months. You keep the novella either way.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or ask for a copy, by writing to [email protected]. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données) at dataprotectionauthority.be.

Theme setting

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser stores that choice on your own device. It is never sent to us.
